GROUP THERAPY

for binge eating and

emotional overeating

In this group we explore the role of binge eating and emotional overeating and how to practice other ways to navigate the ups and downs of life. Mindfulness based practices are used throughout the group to strengthen awareness of thoughts as they relate to binge eating and emotional overeating. Emotion based skills and awareness of the body are interwoven to increase emotion recognition and how to move through feelings as they arise. We also focus on relationships with one another in the group to help strengthen relationships with oneself and with others.

This group is open every 8 weeks to newcomers when openings are available. Prior to beginning, an initial evaluation will be completed so that I can get to know more about you and your relationship with food. Group is on-going and can be attended as long as a member is finding participation helpful.

A minimum commitment of 8 weeks is required.
